Being a Marine, we are often compared to the Spartans of ancient times and since this movie released it has been one of my favorite movies. The movie starts off telling a story of the great Leonidas and the adversity he had to face to become a full-fledged Spartan and I thought it was really interesting with the way they depicted everything. When I first saw the wolf, I was very curious at how he was going to beat it. I didn't think he would leave unscathed, but he was smart and used the terrain to his advantage. After he becomes a Spartan and you are introduced to Leonidas you see he looks like a strong man and so does everyone ...

took his personal guard on a nice long stroll to stretch his legs. This movie continued to show how Leonidas looks at the big picture and his cleverness which I loved. I enjoyed the scene with the Athenians when they said we brought more soldiers then you when all Spartans are soldiers while all the other Greek men are potters, sculptors etc. The combat was intense and interesting to watch and the use of the famous lines in this movie are awesome. "We will fight in the shade" "Lower your weapons! Come and get them" all the lines are so memorable and awesome to hear every time, it sends a chill down your spine "THIS IS SPARTA!". I knew a lot of the movie was not how it actually happened, but regardless it's still really entertaining to watch. I really wanted Leonidas to kill Xerxes, but it brought me joy to see Xerxes frustration every time he failed. I thought it was a tactical error to not humor Ephilates but understood why he did it even though he said they fought using the Phalanx ...
