Living in Ohio I assumed that the energy we use comes from a coal burning power plant. It was to my surprise while trying to find the type of power plant that is used in my city; I actually discovered that Ohio uses many different types. Coal is the biggest resource used by Ohioans coming in at 69.7%. Next is natural gas at 15.56%, followed by nuclear power at 11.76%. Ohio also uses hydropower, wind, solar, and geothermal, but combined they equal about 1.59%.
