America: A Melting Pot

There have been many different interpretations of the melting pot theory and there are many ideas that disprove this concept. This theory is not a visible concept in American Life.
To begin with the whole idea of the melting pot is where old and new groups freely blend together on an equal basis. Obviously, by living in the United States we can see the flaws that this idea upholds. The U.S. is a country that is made up of many different races and types of people. These people either came over from another country or their relatives did. At one time these people had a certain religion and language. of people. These ideas may have been words or types of agriculture but these do not begin to relate to the true meaning of the melting pot theory.
In today's society most ethnic groups have to become accustomed to an American way of life which means the English language. This is a problem because these people have to learn English to survive or they will not be able to succeed in America. This idea also holds true for their children as they will also have to learn American ways rather than their real ethnic backgrounds. If the U.S. was a true melting pot people could survive using their own countries language and their own beliefs. Obviously we can take Japanese for example, they came to the U.S. to find jobs and a good place for their dreams are to assimiliate so they can find jobs to support their families.
