America Moving Towards Libertarian Direction

George Will is making his argument that America is slowly moving in the libertarian direction. He based his argument off of the book "The Declaration of Independents: How Libertarian Politics Can Fix What's Wrong With America" by Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch, these journalists believe that the government can try as hard as it can but wont be able to stop social improvement.
George Will also states in his article that "Confirmation bias" is the tendency to believe news that confirms our beliefs. Later on in his article George Will said “America is moving in the libertarians' direction not because they have won an argument but because government and the sectors it dominates have made themselves ludicrous. This has, however, opened minds to the libertarians' argument.” People in America don’t want a foolish structure and if people in the government don’t have great ideas, the libertarians will imply their own ideas.
The evidence that George will presents does point to the fact that America does seem to be slowly moving towards the libertarian direction. The journalists that he refers back to, Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch wrote the book The Declaration of Independents: How Libertarian Politics Can Fix What’s Wrong With America stresses that America has been becoming more open minded and free and that there is nothing the government can do to stop it.
