The Amistad as a movie is a very well directed movie overall in my case but before I get into the movie I think that it's fair that I give you a little background on what the case is actually about. The Amistad case took place on July 1st 1839 where fifty three African Americans were kidnapped into slavery in Sierra Leone and sold at a Havana slave market.
