On Tuesday, January 19, 2010, I attended the screening of Andrew Young Crossing St. Augustine. It was showed in Davage Auditorium in Haven Warren at 7:00 p.m. The Vice-President for Institutional Advancement and Jeff Johnson of Peachtree TV served as the hosts for the event. At the start of the program, Dr. Valerie Tate Green, university Chaplain, did an opening prayer. Then, CAU’s Philharmonic Society sang Lift Every Voice. I learned that the society was founded in 1865 and sung on a commercial that won an Emmy Award. Also, several of my fellow Honors Program peers were participants in the performance. Next, Miss CAU, Megan Holston, introduced Dr. Brown who did the welcome speech. ...
