Animal Uses


Animals flourish on this planet because, like humans, they need to survive and reproduce. As humans, we have taken advantage of nature. We have ultimately, at least a majority, decided that humans are more important than animals. Any advances in human technology or growth that has harmed animals, we simply chose to advance and to ignore the downfalls. Animals have made a tremendous impact in many medical fields. Although animal testing has improved human life, there still remains many animal experiments out there that have no real cause and create extreme pain for the animal.

After irritation came pain, after pain came ulceration and bleeding, blindness would follow. It really makes no sense that people can still be for animal testing when one can look at a case like this and just simply wonder.
Animals not only have a brain, they have feelings too. Curtis uses an example at the beginning of her essay to point out the wrong doing in animal testing. She talks about a professor who went to school in the morning and found that someone had left a tube in a dogs mouth, allowing it to breath.
