Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. This is a normal human emotion that occurs frequently in life. It is normal to feel anxious before a test, dentist visit, interview etc. However, when a person experiences a constant feeling of anxiety it becomes an anxiety disorder. An anxiety disorder is a serious mental illness which can cause such distress that it interferes with a person's ability to lead a normal life.
