The Apis bull was very important part of ancient Egyptian worshiping, before they were Christianized. The Egyptians believed that bulls represented fertility. The Apis was a divine bull created from the god Ptah. An Apis is a calf that is not able to have another. The Egyptians believe that a flash of light descended from heaven upon the cow, and this caused her to conceive Apis.
