The Apology was the trial of Socrates in Athens, about 400 BC. ”. In the Apology is account of the speech Socrates makes at the trial in which he is charged with not recognizing the gods recognized by the state, and corrupting the youth of Athens. Socrates' speech, however, is by no means an "apology" in our modern understanding of the word. Socrates attempts to defend himself and his conduct--certainly not to apologize for it.

would tell people how he start to examine others. There was a part in the text that one of his friends going to oracle and asking “if there is wiser than Socrates?” and oracle answered “No”. Socrates will start examining Meletos in the court and accusing him in lying and doing something that his not believing in. he would bring it to the conclusion that Meletos does not believe what he is accusing Socrates for. Socrates openly said that he would rather choose to die than leave in a prison or not to be able examine others, he saw the purpose of living in self-reflection and cross-examination others Socrates is found guilty by a narrow margin and is asked to propose a penalty. Socrates jokingly suggests that if he were to get what he deserves, he should be honored with a great meal for being of such service to the Athens.
