Aristotle’s scientific method of analyzing empirical data helped pave the way for later generations to understand the “whys” of our world in a much more precise way. The later philosophy of empiricism or “experience-sense data” made famous by John Locke and David Hume, is a better method of philosophical discovery and explanation than other more “rational” or “metaphysical” methods because it deals with the actual material nature of things, and dismisses metaphysics as meaningless.
