The concept of culture and its many often unrecognized aspects are discussed in detail in Wendy Griswold’s third edition of “Cultures and Societies in a Changing World.” Griswold explores the concept of the cultural object, social movements, and many other aspects of culture through the idea of the cultural diamond and helpful examples of ever-changing society.

Cultural objects change with the people and nature of the time and help individuals add meaning to life’s experiences. Griswold also relates culture to a mirror by showing that cultural objects are reflective of society.
