Due to this movie's ratings, the sexual content was kept to the viewer's imagination. After their infamous night, their room was torn to shreds and Bella was left badly bruised. At his point in the movie Bella is still human. Her fragility is apparent by the bruises all over her body. The bruises seem to cause Edward to pull away from Bella. After a couple of days Bella notices that she has a protrusion in her belly. She has felt unusually hungry and thought she got sick from eating the chicken in the fridge.
