Christian Values In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight revolves around Christian values and virtues as the leading character, Gawain, is expected to protect his virtue in the face of temptations of various kinds. When he is faced with worldly seductions, Gawain often loses his deep-rooted Christian values and instead becomes a mere mortal who is unable to resist temptations on all occasions and who sometimes becomes a victim of his frailty and weaknesses. Gawain's Christian beliefs and their strength are tested by a pagan figure, Green Knight who closely monitors Gawain's actions and reminds of his fault when he makes one.
