Christopher Columbus was born on October 13, 1451 at Genoa, Italy. His father was famous for weaving and political business, so Christopher took his job until the age of fourteen. This was when his life as a sea voyager began. During his whole life, Christopher went to four different voyages in search for gold silver, and spices. Christopher loved to sail and he went to lots of places. But one day he asked the king and queen of Portugal to gain their patronage for an expedition.
