Cohabitation is a tentative, non-legal, co-residential union. There are three types of cohabitation: serial, “the next step,” and engaged to be married. Serial cohabitation is when a person is not their own friend and they are scared to be alone. These types of people jump from relationship to relationship and move in with their partner as soon as they can. “The next step” is when a person falls into it, it’s not their choice. You get to learn about their likes and their dislikes. There is so much to discover about your partner and the only way for it to be true and successful is to move in together.
