Creative Writing: Love At First Sight

Like a tired puppy, Helen strolled through the store watching for
the exit. She had been shopping for a new Christmas outfit for almost
five hours now, and had no luck at all. She only had two more weeks
before Christmas to shop and the tension was beginning to build. The
stores were very warm and swarmed with people; she found herself getting
crabby. There were children screaming and parents yelling everywhere she
went. All she wanted to do was go home and take a nap in her nice quite
and comfortable apartment . That night she was planning on going out to
dinner and then see a movie with a few of her good friends, but if she
didn't get some sleep before they went she was never ...

to her. He stood about six feet tall
and had light brown hair. He was wearing a shirt almost exactly like the
one she was wearing.
She stood by the door to put her leather jacket on, and watched the
guy pay for all of his merchandise. The store was a crowded street waiting
for a parade to start. People were bumping into each other every were you
went. Before she walked out the door she turned to take one last glance at
him. As she did this, she noticed that he was approaching her. Maybe he
recognized her too? She stood there for a split second, and before she
knew it he was introducing himself as William. He also commented on how it
seemed like he had seen her someplace before. His baby blue eyes reminded
her of the sky on a beautiful summers day and his cologne smelled wonderful.

All the voices in the store were blocked out of their minds as they
stared into each others eyes for a long moment. It was love at first sight
