Cultural Activity

Japan is part of Asia, but is a separate island. As of 2012, Japan's population is over 127,000,000, and it's climate in the summer is hot and humid with a month of rainy season. Winter in Japan is mild, with northern areas getting more snow. Spring and Fall are about the same as ours, being sunny with calm temperatures.

Japan has a similar setup for public school as the U.S., with the exception of instead of traveling around to different classes, the students stay in a homeroom with the same people, and have the teachers come to the room. Along with high school, Japan has ...

and pop culture. The two don't mix, exactly, but they work together to make a dignified but updated way of life. They keep their respectful customs and take them very seriously, as well as superstitions. On the other hand, they are considered the most technology-oriented country, having many well-known and loved video game companies, such as Nintendo, and they are always coming up with new ways to imitate human life in a machine. In Japan, their gestures and expressions basically are their main indicator of their feelings, since traditionally it is best to keep your feelings and thoughts to yourself. Because of that, Japan has many phrases and other cues to tell people what they really mean about something or someone (mostly in the way of a thought-out sarcastic remark).

Japan has a very respectful language as well, having two forms of speaking depending on who you're around. It isn't really a ``holier than thou'' thing, but more of establishing the relationship between people. ...
