This report was prepared for Matthew Geoghan’s AP Psychology class; due on March 21st 2011.


In an attempt to provide an accurate diagnosis of the patient in question, an extensive in-depth analysis of the side effects of the disorder, as well as the disorder was examined. The evaluation of the preceding events provided an accurate portrayal of the issues that contributed to the patient’s malady. Brandon Teena was a 21 year old, female-to-male non-operative transgender man, whose birth name was Teena Renae Brandon.

Teena attended St. Mary’s Elementary school with her sister, and later Pius X High School in Lincoln. The students at Pius X regarded her as being socially awkward and all but ostracized her. During her sophomore year, she rejected Christianity due to its views regarding homosexuality. This rebellion continued as she violated the dress code in order to look more masculine.
