Depression, millions of people have it, but they do not know how to cope with it. Many people that do not know what depression is usually just say “why cant they just cheer up”, well its a lot harder than it sounds for them to cheer up. Depression has been known since the time of the ancient Greeks. At this time though they thought it was an imbalance of the human body that created this problem. Then the Greek and Roman ideas of depression traveled to Persia. The only difference was it wasn’t called depression, but it was called melancholia, but the definition is still the same.
