Diversity in Academia

The purpose of higher education is mainly to simply become more educated. This is accomplished through exposure and experience. A student cannot be educated in an environment where there is no exposure to new ideas. Otherwise they keep the same ideas and gain absolutely nothing. Diversity is ESSENTIAL to education, it is necessary in order to gain better perspectives and understandings.
