Domestic Violence

The Overlook Hotel is caught in a cycle of violence and every person who comes to stay there struggles to break free of this violence. In the movie The Shining, Jack comes to stay at the Overlook to finish his novel. Along with him, he brings his wife Wendy and his son, Danny. Through-out the movie, Jack becomes more and more violent towards them. It comes to a point when Wendy has to lock Danny in the bedroom away from Jack and grad a bat to protect herself from him.
