Although this argument doesn’t provide and actual physical evidence or state any facts, it does derive to a reasonable conclusion. It may not be the strongest argument among others but should still be taken into account because it does stand for a good point.
There are few opposing points to the ontological argument. For example, one of the earliest critics of the ontological argument was the monk, Gaunilo. Gaunilo didn’t point out anything specifically wrong with the argument but still attempted to disprove it. He argued that if there wasn’t anything wrong with this argument then we could use its logic to prove other things that we would have no reason to believe in.
