Faust Comparison

Washington Irving "Devil and Tom Walker" and the song "Faust, Midas, And Myself" are both examples of Faust legends. In the story of "Devil and Tom Walker", Irving explains the story of a man willing to do anything to gain wealth, and in the song "Faust, Midas, And Myself" it also gives examples of a man willing to give his soul for wealth. Within these stories are several similarities.
