The four functions of management are very important to ensure a business is successful. These functions are: planning, organizing, leading , and controlling.
Planning is the first step in managing. In this step, goals and objectives are set. In this step the manager must take in account how to use funding, staff, and utilize time effectively. In this stage planning helps layout how to focus on initiatives that are beneficial for the company. Planning is a priority in successful management.

a team involves motivating staff, praising or criticizing, setting individuals' objectives and ensuring these are being achieved. It also involves leading by good example and persuading or convincing the team of the importance of the organizational objective.
Finally, the final step in this process is to control (known as controlling). Performance reviews of employees are overseen, as well as how finances are utilized effectively.
