I really liked this book because it was a real diary of a girl that actually went through all these good and bad times. I also liked this book because the author went through the same problems that the teenagers of today are faced with. For example, when parents complain about hair and clothing styles that teenagers are attracted to. Another reason I liked this book was because it’s a diary and after awhile you start feeling as if you know that person.
I think the setting of this book is important because it lets other kids and parents realize that drugs exist everywhere, not just in major cities. The setting also shows that not all people who use drugs are from a broken home, with parents ...

Jan is because she was going to baby sit a young child while she was high. She could have killed that young infant because of her stupidity and that really annoys me.
The part of this book that was particularly effective was when I saw how drugs led Alice into a mental hospital. When I heard that she was high and started ripping out her hair and going nuts that scared me to death. This part of the book was very scary but also it was very interesting.

If I were Alice, when I was thinking about using drugs again like she was, I would have gotten information about them first. I would have asked people who used drugs at one time what it was like and was it worth it. Then I would go to a library to read about what they do to your body in the long run. I would have done these things before jumping into a world that she knew nothing about.
