Grand Central - Essay

Grand Central

From where I’m standing I can see the gate that people walk in to grand central station when they exit the subway station. There is a sign right on top of the entrance saying “Lexington Ave, Tracks 21 to 11”. There is a round shaped kiosk right in front of my in the middle of the station with a gold color clock on top and big signs attached to its sides with train information on them. There are four individuals that are standing inside the kiosk and provide information to people and sell tickets. As I look up I see the light blue color ceiling with its famous fresco of the stars that lightens up every few minutes when someone’s camera flash light reflects on it.

slowly and quietly and passes through them and exits from the other side of the station. A few minutes later I notice another machine with a man in his orange uniform driving it; he stops the machine next to the garbage cans, takes the garbage bags filled with garbage out of them and places them in the car and drives away. There are a lot of noise the fill the station, noise of people talking, walking, the clock, the garbage and post machine, but every few minutes the voice of the announcer that announces the updates and information conquers all other noises.
There are hundreds of people walking through the grand central every few minutes. Some wearing their formal work suits and some are dressed more relaxed. There are a few things that catch my eye. I see a couple dressed exactly the same, green military pants and black sweater with a green logo on it, holding hands and walking slowly towards the restaurant located on the north side of the station.
