Human Survival Tolerance Limits

In 1999, ABC aired a television show about the crash of Delta Commuter Flight 529 and the remarkable events that led to some people surviving that catastrophic event. The writers told about why the plane crashed -- because one of the two engines exploded, resulting in an inability of the plane to continue to fly, the pilots' tremendous efforts to keep the plane airborne until they could get to a nearby runway, and what they did when they found themselves over a forested area instead of a flat runway. It also tells of the actions of passengers who contributed to others' survival.
