The United States was once the envy of the world in education. The beginning of furthering education began in the U.S. and people fled when freedom became impossible in their own nations. However, today's society is becoming known as the tech society. Mass media has taken over the knowledge, time, and values of numerous Americans in their cultural environment. Postman, quick to keep biblical references in mind, criticized the next level of Americans intelligence in today's day and age. These sources of information must be seen as entertaining, therefore most of the time we are not getting the full story or truth.
