Ever since big cities have been around, there has been a flood of juvenile delinquents in our penal system. There has always been the big question of how to handle the cases that get dropped on judge’s desks. Many people feel that being soft on juvenile delinquents will work, but in reality, a slap on the wrist will do nothing to help these kids transition into a world of responsibility. Others believe that these kids should serve harsh sentences for their crimes. The challenge that our judicial system is facing, is finding a middle ground.
