Right when Buford's troops were about to get destroyed in comes some very powerful Union troops that save Buford and his men. They were commanded by General Reynolds which was won of the North's best generals. Unfortunately for the north while he was giving orders to his troops to hurry up onto the ridge he was shoot down and killed by a Confederate soldier's bullet.
The Southern men were forced to fight harder when Reynolds's troops opened fire releasing an unprepared for stream of bullets flying towards them. Around noon the Confederate troops pulled back to reorganize and regroup. During this time silences dropped like a bomb over the fields. Before the battle was reconvened more troops came pouring in for both sides.
