Ranking eight in the earth, magnesium is one of the most widely distributed element. It exists extensively in salt lakes and seawater. There are many advantages that come with magnesium alloys as the lightest structural metal. Some of those advantages are; electrical conductivity, specific strength, rigidity and high heat tolerance. These are great features that magnesium alloys have to offer. As a comparison to aluminum alloys, which is extensively used in the aero engine industry, have now moved on to magnesium alloys.
