Marine Dream

Many years ago my family and I went to the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii for my sister’s Make-A-Wish trip. We explored many different places on the island like the breathtaking Turtle Bay on horseback, where part of the show Lost was filmed. We also visited The Polynesian Cultural Center, where we were able to experience many of the different cultures that inhabit the islands. We sampled many different and indigenous foods like poi, a purple potato which they made into bread and mashed potatoes. We also tried the unique Hawaiian shave ice, a snow cone over a scoop of ice cream and a handful of sugar soaked Japanese red beans, in one of the coastal towns. However, out of all of our ...

people, to take us to the submarine. It was a very bouncy ride, as though we were sitting on a moving trampoline. As my family and I sat on the bottom deck of the boat, the powerful waves knocked us around like we were rag dolls. If we were not sitting down, we would have been knocked down on top of the person sitting next to us. What was only ten minutes seemed to take two hours, but we finally managed to reach the submarine.
After we arrived, everyone had to walk on top of the slippery submarine to squeeze inside one by one. As we all got settled in and the submarine ride began, I forgot about how cramped and uncomfortable I was as I looked out the submarine window and became lost in the magical undersea world. Each and every sea animal seemed to be more beautiful than the last.
