Company Background

I am currently working as a marketing assistant for a small company in California to complete my marketing internship. The company imports tea products to the United States. Although it is a relatively small company, less than 50 employees, the company does have a unique culture and infrastructure.
The company is family-owned and the current President is the fourth generation to be at the helm of this operation. Of course, the company has all the necessary departments, finance, marketing, sales, distribution, warehousing, and human resources. In addition, there are various administrative and support personnel.

Duties and Tasks

As an intern in the marketing department, I have had the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects. Besides learning about marketing research and international marketing, I have been involved in developing marketing materials and promotional campaigns to support the company's advertising program.
