The Article, “A Thai Region where husbands are imported” is about American men who were marrying outside of their native land. Although many took their wives back to their native land with them, some stayed in Thailand and created a new life. The article states, the marriages were more of a business than love. It was very interesting to me. It reminded me of back in the days when all young women were taught to do was to get a husband and everything would be fine. essay, I will discuss a few problems that can appear within marriages not based on love.

As stated before, having a marriage without love or for money can lead to problems with similarities. You may not know this person fully, or understand their culture. In Paragraphs 12 and 13 in the article, it states that the Thai women are just searching for a foreign boyfriend or husband to support them. Whereas, the foreign men may be seeking emotional connection.

Happiness. If these foreign men, future husbands are looking for an emotional connection and the women are only worried about their money, how could the man ever be happy?
