Master's Program Continuation Letter

To Whom It May Concern (adding the actual name here would be good):

I am writing this letter to explain my recent academic difficulties and to express my sincere desire to remain in the Master's Program. I failed to maintain a GPA above 3.0 during the last semester. However, I want to underscore that this was an anomaly for me; I have not missed a semester since I began the program and I only have nine credits left toward the fulfillment of my degree. Since commencement, I have been entirely dedicated to my academic career. My grades over the past semester do not adequately reflect my potential as a student at (NAME UNIVERSITY HERE if desired).

as an overestimation of my time and energy limits. I feel that I merely took too many credits at once, assuming that the level of difficulty would be on par with my undergraduate studies.
I was wrong in assuming this and I now see that two classes, or six credits, at a time, is a personal limit for me. With this realistic goal in mind, I know I can easily, eagerly, and steadfastly complete my Master's Degree. I am dedicated to finishing my degree; I only need to recognize that it will not be a piece of cake.
I hope that this letter adequately represents my intentions and I hope that you will consider my plea to continue studying in the fall semester.
