Mission Bay in Summer

Clouds drift along the sky as the sun’s gentle rays make the deep, blue sea shimmer like a gem. Yachts head toward Rangitoto while a cruise ship is seen in the horizon. Grinning from ear to ear, two successful sailors head for home. The calm sea is filled with swimmers and snorkellers speeding around. Small children enjoy themselves splashing in the shallow water.
On the crowded beach, two little boys build a sand castle excitedly while their parents sunbathe. Men and women are seen with huge sunglasses under big, bright umbrellas. Children run around in colourful swimwear and patterned shirts. Laughing and chatting, a family enjoys their afternoon picnic under the shade of large tree. ...
