Alcoholism is more serious than most people see with the naked eye. It has a lot of affects on people from the sidelines that the abuser may not even realize. The people who care for the abuser most are the people that are affected the most, besides the affects the alcohol has on the human body. To start off with I would like to address the affects of alcoholism on my mother. Than I will go further into the affects it has on me, my children, my brother, and my sister. to quit drinking, but she claims ``she will die drinking''. She looks older than her oldest sister as far as wrinkle in the face. Alcohol has tore her body up from the inside out. That plus smoking will have its long term affect on her body and when I tell her that she say, ``we all die from something, someday.'' She has hurt herself plenty of times while intoxicated, from breaking her toe to scrapping up her face and even breaking her ribs several times. Even if she has no gas in her vehicles she will always have a thirty pack of beer in her refrigerator. I believe the alcoholism has a great affect on her memory because usually when Christmas or birthdays come around she has no remembrance of them. Sometimes I feel if she had to choose between life or alcohol she would choose alcohol. time I see her with a beer in her hand. I can't even explain what I loose for her, I mean she's my mom and I have so much respect for her but she is not the person I expected her to be.
