Oedipus Rex the divine ruler of the land of Thebes shown to be a very spiritual man. A man inspired to seek out any order given out by his lord or lords in spite of which path their wisdom mite lead. “I have sent Creaon to Delphi to learn what he can of what to act or pledge of what might save the city” (Sophocles 724-725).
