Prometheus and Frankenstein

Throughout the book of Frankenstein, Victor is compared to Prometheus, a Greek mythology titan who stole something from Zeus. Both of these characters have a very similar story but some parts differ in great range. In this essay I will be going over the similarities and differences between Prometheus' story and Victor's.

let an eagle eat out Prometheus' liver every day until he learned his lesson. In putting him in plain sight it not only taught the humans not to act out against Zeus, but also advised the titans not to do so as well.
While Prometheus stole fire from Zeus, Victor stole knowledge from god. Victor studied the ways of the human body to the point where he thought he could reanimate one. He succeeded. In a way he has stolen the knowledge of life and death from God did not ask permission.
