High-Speed Rail will benefit the USA
High-speed rails. They're a revolutionary transportation technology in many European and Asian nations but are not prevalent in the United States. High-speed rail has been shown to create jobs, reduce carbon and energy consumption costs per passenger, and be cheaper than common transportation methods such as airplanes and cars. Therefore, the United States should invest in and maintain high-speed rail.
Jobs are a necessity to reduce poverty and benefit our economy. California's High Speed Rails Authority has already created over 10,000 construction jobs ("Get the Facts on Jobs").
