author's bias makes itself known as he states "those readers in the pro-gun community will please do everyone a favor and keep their comments to themselves." This contempt shown for opposing views alienates a large part of the audience, which for a large publication like the Huffington Post is simply bad scholarship. It shows a deep unwillingness to interpret contradictory information; something that is truly necessary for someone attempting to bring audiences closer to the truth. In fact, it is much more difficult to argue for a certain point if one does not make oneself cognizant of the counterpoint.
