There is a great amount of physical, chemical, and biological contaminants in sewage water. Sewage also contains toxic organic compounds that if not adequately treated, results in serious damage to people, underground water, weather, plants, water areas, and many organisms. Moreover, population in Dubai is exponentially increasing and therefore household sewage as well. This increases the pressure on the sewage treatment plant on Dubai.

So what can we do to avoid such illegal disposal of sewage? Is there a way that is well-planned, economically feasible and environmentally beneficial to treat all of the city’s sewage?
In order to answer the research question, we will need to do some research. To find information about the dumping problem in Dubai, we will use various news websites. To obtain knowledge on sewage and wastewater treatment, we will use the AUS library books, journals and databases.
In order to solve the previously identified problem, we came up with two possible solutions. The first solution implies using temporary underground storage of sewage water where the sewage trucks can store their load. We want to design an underground block of tanks near the sewage treatment plant that can temporary combine and store the sewage water coming from all the tankers and pump it via pumps to the treatment plant.
