From the moment of birth until the moment of death, we continuously develop physically, psychologically and cognitively. Erikson had divided lifespan development into different stages based on the age. In this report development stages will be categorized under prenatal, neonatal, infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.

Prenatal development occurs in an orderly and delicate sequence where it begin as a one cell structure. There are three stages of prenatal development; germinal, embryonic and fetal. These stages are briefly described as follows.

Stage (08 weeks to birth)
Rapid growth in size and mass, changes in body proportions, development of function in tissues, organs and systems. Fetus can respond to the sounds with the development in hearing. Throughout the fetal stage the brain continuously grow and develop. Around 36 weeks, the fetus is almost ready for birth and by week 37 all organs are developed enough where fetus can survive outside the womb without many of the risks associated with premature birth. Until 40 weeks fetus continuously grow and gain weight and get ready for the birth.
Issues at the Prenatal Stage

Genetic and environmental factors can affect the development at this stage. Mother should take a good care of herself and should receive prenatal care because the developing fetus is completely depending on mother's life.
