In the United States, 2,800 teenagers become pregnant each day. This ranks the United States 2nd highest for teen pregnancy in developed countries with a whopping 83.6 pregnancies per 1,000 teenagers (Park 1). Teen pregnancy and parenting is a widely discussed topic in today’s society due to current trends portraying sex in movies, television and on the web.
