The Accuracy Of News Reports


We watch the news everyday, trusting broadcasters, that they are
giving us the correct information. We are forced to view the story only
through eyes of the broadcasters. We can change the channel but most of
the broadcasters are providing us with the same view. When watching the
news we should ask ourselves is both sides of the story being told? What
is the purpose of the report? We should distinguish weather or not the
information is accurate instead of trusting the media.
News reports are created so people watch them, not to provide facts
of a situation, so we must be careful at all times. The news reports for

the most important thing that happened the news that day but it
did sell newspapers. You may think that this is wrong but if The Daily
News doesnt sell newspapers they dont last. Thats the reality of the
world and we must accept it.
The whole story is never fully told sometimes because the
broadcasters havent received the information. There was no way that the
media couldve seen through the eyes of the shooters. They were still in
the school while the reporters were giving their story. We as an audience
naturally takes sides when hearing a story. During the Amadu Diablo
shooting the media reported from the side of Diablos family. The storys on
the news was intended to seek sympathy for the Diablos family. When
hearing about this story I felt that the officers were completely wrong in
what they did. They were out of line and abused their police privileges.
After the trial I had a different impression. Amadu Diablo was standing in
