The Ant

Walking at a stead-fast pace, the young ant holds the grains above his exoskeleton as the microscopic beads of sweat pelt down his face. He wants to impress the elder ants with his graceful ways, all the while making a good first impression. But whenever he lifts his legs to crawl, he senses them fall with an over exaggerated, thunderous boom. Although the ants at the colony work hard to collect the seemingly non-abundant produce, scarcity exists, which stresses the families dilemma. Antennae’s drooping, legs weakening, and strength diminishing, he trudges on, determined to make it back to the mound.
Running for his life, the ant scurries from the continuous stomp of the humans ...
