The Dangers Of Cigarettes

After watching my grandfather die at an early age from lung cancer was a good enough reason for me to quit smoking. In general, smoking cigarettes is known to be a dirty habit, which causes a decrease in health while its also not cheap.
For one thing, I realized that my cigarette smoke bothered others, particularly my friends and family, irritating there eyes and causing them to cough and sneeze. Which is when I realized that it also bothered me, by being such an unhealthy habit. I realized that cigarettes were affecting my health since I was getting out of breath whenever I tried to exert myself in any athletic activity. Cigarettes would also cause an inconvenience since all the time I would have a cigarette my throat would get dry. The dryness would cause me to get up for a drink or if I was out somewhere, I would have to buy something to drink. I also hated the thought of wealthy, greedy cigarette companies making money off my sweat and blood. It is estimated that the average smoker spends the average of $1300 a year on cigarettes.
