The Effects Of The French And Indian War

The colonists of the late 1700's were occupied by many fears. These fears were produces from many unfair circumstances forced upon them from England. The paranoia that fell upon the colonists eventually led them to declare their independence and create the Articles of Confederation. The purpose of this essay is to explain where these fears came from and to prove that the colonists had fair reason to be worried of loosing their rights as Englishmen.

This led to a rising level of political tension between the colonists and the mother country. These tensions finally led the colonist to the first continental congress. Due to these taxation's and other ongoing events the colonist started to believe that parliament was corrupt. They believed that the parliament was engaged in a conspiracy to take away their rights as Englishmen. One of these ongoing events was the writ of assistance, this was a universal search warrant that British soldiers acquired that let them go into anyone's home whenever; this took away the right of privacy of the colonist.
