The Experience of Growing Up

Growing up, for me, is a sweet-and-sour experience. Just like the two sides of a coin, the experience could be sweet, but it could be harsh and cruel as well. For the sweet part, the love and care from my parents has always been a source of the most heart-warming joys and happiness. Their positive participation in my life makes me feel that I am being supported and cared for. For example, my parents would always take time off from work to attend school events that I was participating in, such as sports games, speech contests, or short plays, and encourage me spiritually.
